World Power Plants on Google Map? We have visualised the coal, natural gas, diesel oil, nuclear and wind power plants obtained from the Global Energy Observatory website (http://globalenergyobservatory.org).

Upon clicking on the individual marker, a pop-up window containing the information about the selected power plant will appear. The information is (if available):

1. Power plant’s coordinate
2. Power plant’s country
3. Name of power plant’s owner
4. Power plant’s capacity in MW
5. Type of power plant
6. Power plant’s main fuel type

The World Power Plants data is obtained from Global Energy Observatory (GEO) Only Coal, Natural Gas, Diesel Oil, Nuclear and Wind Powerplants are shown.
