CO2 Emission Meter

J-Park Simulator:

World Natural Gas and Coal Power Plant CO2 Emission Meter? This agent estimates the individual and total CO2 emissions of all coal and natural gas power plants obtained from the Global Energy Observatory website (http://globalenergyobservatory.org) using the plant-specific emission factor based on Emissions & Generation Resource Integrated Database – eGRID.

The agent can also estimate the total CO2 emissions of coal and natural gas power plants for an individual country by selecting the country from  the dropdown list. The power plants considered for the selected country and their corresponding name, capacity, generation type and estimated CO2 emission are indicated in the table. The impact on CO2  emission reduction by converting a certain percentage of existing coal power plants capacity to natural gas power plants can also be estimated by specifying the value in the query box (located at the bottom) and pressing “enter”.

World Natural Gas and Coal Power Plant CO2 Emission:

2449416 tonnes/h

The total CO2 emission from World Natural Gas and Coal Power Plants is estimated using method from Emissions & Generation Resource Integrated Database (eGRID) and data from Global Energy Observatory (GEO)
